I’m Sorry Thanksgiving

Yesterday, I informed my dad that I was watching the Christmas movie marathon on Hallmark channel. He jokingly replied that he was content with anticipating and being thankful for Thanksgiving. I immediately said I was thankful too…thankful for Christmas. šŸ™‚

I have said this before and I will say it again: My favorite time of year is November 5th though January 1st. That period of time contains fall, my birthday, my dad’s birthday, Thanksgiving, winter, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. I see it as a stage show, one long, cohesive, enjoyable show. Thanksgiving is merely intermission, the halfway point. I am not ignoring Thanksgiving; I am squeezing out every ounce of enjoyment before my favorite time of year is over. Also, Christmas is my favorite holiday so I am naturally bias.

Moving on…to what I have been doing to encourage my early Christmas spirit. I watched Christmas movies all weekend, I planned out my Christmas shopping budget and list, and I am now listening to Christmas music on Pandora. I know, I know!!!!! That is meant for the day after Thanksgiving. I could not help it! Actually, if I am being totally honest, I listened to my favorite Christmas song a couple months ago (Want to know what that is? Stay tuned in to my Pinterest and Tunmblr countdown for personal Christmas facts starting December 1st!). What can I say? I get excited.

Well, I am off to enjoy my homework-free day of rain, reading, and The Christmas Card (tonight at 7PM CST on Hallmark Channel). Stay merry readers!
